He Has Risen

What a lovely weekend for Easter.  I hope you had a special time with family and friends.  I spent mine laid up due to knee surgery but was inspired to make it into my craft room and make this card to share.

The Easter Cross, from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, was heat embossed in white on a piece of cardstock and a piece of vellum.  The one on the cardstock was fussy cut and layered behind the one on the vellum.  This was all layered on top of light blue and a white die cut oval window placed over this.  JFF's He Has Risen sentiment was stamped on a piece of vellum and layered across the center and blue pearls added to the corners.

Have a great week.

Smile

Seems like the weather cannot make up its mind if it is spring or winter.  In my area it has been lovely the last few days.  The flowers are in full bloom and it is so beautiful.  I decided to share a card showing some lovely blooms using the Jar Daisies image.  I have been taking some Copic classes and decided to use some of what I learned to color this.

The Small Canning Jar was stamped on heavy vellum and fussy cut.  A little color was added on the back and it was placed over the flower stems.  A die cut “smile” was added to a banner and layered across the jar front.  To be honest, I had planned to simply place the smile die cut on the jar but made a little mistake and needed to cover it up.  Mistakes bring out our creativity.

Hope you are having lovely weather in your area.

Merry Christmas A Little Late

I recently realized that my Christmas card never posted so I thought I would get it in before the end of the year.  It was very busy this year but I was determined to make them for my friends and family so I finished these last minute.

The stamped sentiment is from Penny Black.  It was stamped on vellum and layered behind my new Spellbinders’ die, Labels Thirty-Nine Decorative Elements.

Had to add this picture of my hubby.  I talked him into helping remove the small pieces from the detailed die cut.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
