I chose to feature the Spring Window set in my reveal card.  It reminds me of something I might see when visiting my daughter in Charleston, SC.  There is also so much lovely architectural design with all the historic buildings so I decided to create this look around the window.

I used three sizes of Spellbinders’ Labels Twenty-Eight layered together and embossed them.  Then I cut out the center with the smallest die used.   This was popped up with dimensionals over the window image.  I stamped the image a second time, fussy cut the floral branch, and popped this up over the original image.  I used a glue pen to add Daisy Velvet Glitter to the center of the flowers.

I repeated the embossing  and trimmed off one of the sides to add the sentiment to the bottom.

I also fussy cut the flowers and pitcher from the second image.  Using a Versamarker, I added Copper, Copper Flame, and Native American embossing powders to the pitcher to give it a metallic look with a touch of patina.  Then I used Dimensional Glue to make dots on the flowers and added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft.  When it was dry, I added dots of color with three different Copic Markers.  This was popped up over the original.

Please visit my fellow designers to see their inspiring creations.  Don't forget to leave a comment with each Designer to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  We love reading your comments and hope we have inspired you as well.  If you absolutely cannot leave a comment for some reason, please email icinganne@yahoo.com with your comment and the name of the blog or Designer you are commenting about.

Crown Of Thorns

Spent some time at a friend’s house and she was working on her Easter cards.  She was using this amazing image from Our Daily Bread Designs called Crown Of Thorns.  She was kind enough to let me borrow it to make this card that I hope shares the true story of Easter.

I decided to use Seedless Preserves Distress Ink for the image and popped it up on top of layers if black, white, and purple.  The purple was to represent royalty and I used the Union Square die from  Sue Wilson Dies’ New York Collection.  I loved the cut on the outer black layer with the look of rays spreading out from the image.  I sponged a little white pigment ink on parts of the black  and added small black metal brads to represent nail heads.  I wanted to add a cross so I die cut an embossed piece of white cardstock with Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Window Die and cut out the center to use behind the image.

Thanks for visiting,

E. Marie
