Amore!!

Have you seen the new stamp sets recently released by Sparkle N Sprinkle?  The two newest “Stampette Sets” coordinate with each other and are perfect for making a card to let someone know you love them.

Here are two cards I just made using these sets.

This first card is probably the simplest card you will ever see me make.  You have no idea how hard it is for me to leave it alone.  It uses an image from the Love Fairy set and the one word sentiment from the Amore set.  Running it through a Darice embossing folder and adding a little glitter made me feel better and it is still simple and sweet.

On this second card the beautiful Amore Fairy image is centered on layers of red mirror cardstock and Nesting Doily Square die cuts.  I used the floral wreath to add a sentiment and added glitter to all of the stamped flowers, using a glue pen.  The white bow, pink satin flowers, and a pearl button on a hat pin add a touch a elegance.

Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

 

 

  This is a card I did for 2 challenges.  The first challenge was for Our Daily Bread Designs with the theme of "leaves".  The 2nd challenge was  Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC88) with the challenge to ink and distress.  I created the top and bottom borders using a Martha Stewart border punch.  I used her corner punch to create the 3 leaves at the top of the oval.  I stamped the sunflowers stamps and cut them out using the only set I had (borrowed) from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I used Tombow markers to color them.  I layered them on top of a rust oval cut out using Spellbinders nestabilities.  The leaves are popped up to make them appear 3-D, though it is hard to see in the picture.  This is layered on top of another oval with the ends punched with MS floral border punch.  Both ovals are then layered on top of a Spellbinder label that I embossed with a leaf folder from Quick Cuts and then sanded. I used cardstock that was chocolate on one side and green on the other, so when I sanded it the green leaves came through.  I also sanded the edges of the label to give it a distressed edge.  The label is layered on top of a dark brown rectangle with both ends punched with the MS floral punch.  They just peek out under the label.  Everything is layered on top of the beautiful gold yellow card.  I sponged on some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on all the edges of the card, along with all the edges of the 2 ovals.  This really added to the color of the card.

Fall Bling

Our weather has finally cooled off and put me in the mood for Fall.  I just had to use some of my new stamps and dies to create a Fall card.  The stamped images are from JustRite Stamps.

I used my oval Nestabilities to cut them out and edged them with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  I used my Spellbinder Fancy Tags between the two ovals and added a green decorative corner die on each side using my Decorative Butterfly-Border Diecuts from Heartfelt Creations.  This is all layered on top of Nestabilities Frame 8 that I embossed using my new “Vine” QuikKutz embossing folder, and inked with Versamark.  The border at the bottom is also from the Decorative Butterfly-Border Diecuts and then I threaded some sheer rust ribbon through and tied it into a bow.  I added leaf and acorn buttons to the top of the large scallop and add some jewels and glitter to give the card some bling.  I finished the card by edging it with more distress ink.  I really had fun with this card and stayed up way too late last night playing.  Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
