Love You Latte

Today I am sharing a coffee themed window card.  It combines layers of cream, kraft, brown, and black with design from dies and an embossing folder.

The Water Ring, from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, was stamped with Tea Dye Distress Ink on cream cardstock.  This was used in the background of the card window and also for the sentiment.

The JFF sentiment, A Latte, was stamped with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and layered on brown cardstock.  Small coffee themed dies were cut from the brown cs and added to the window and card front, along with some sequins.

Since the theme for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is summer, I thought I needed to add something more so I did a revised version just for the hop.  I  die cut these flowers, sponged them with some Tea Die Ink, and layered them along the bottom.

This is a great card to give to any of your coffee loving friends.

Fishin'

With Father’s Day so close, I wanted to share one more masculine card using the new Gone Fishin digital stamp set.  I am sure I have mentioned that one of my favorite activities with my dad was to go fishing.  He taught all his children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren to fish and it is one of their greatest memories.  This card makes me think of him.

I started with some lovely designer cardstock and layered this on the white card base.  Strips of 1/4” and 1/8” Tear-iffic tape were run across the next layer of black cs and Autumn Spice Velvet Glitter was added.

Rectangular windows, with black frames, were cut from another piece of the designer cs, using Gina Marie Designs' dies.  This was popped up over the printed image and sentiment, using dimensional tape, and added to the card front.

Have a wonderful week and I hope you can have some family time on Father’s Day.

Winter Wonderland

Winter is here and some of you already have snow.  It sure is getting cold where I live and rumors of snow this week are floating around.  This card shows the fun side of winter.  For my sweet students nothing is better than building a snowman!

This card features the Just For Fun Snowman image, colored with Copic Markers.  I used Gina Marie’s Stitched Circle Dies to create a look similar to a snow globe and Copic Markers were used to provide coloring and edging on the dies.  I actually colored the smaller circle frame from the back with one color on top of the other to get the slightly mottled affect.  The Winter Wonderland from JFF’s Seasons Word Block was stamped with Distress Ink and die cut with the end of a Spellbinders’ Label Die.  It was edged with Copic Marker.

Keep warm this week!
