I
had a great time visiting family over the last few weeks, though I have to
admit I was glad to get home and stay out of the car. My youngest daughter came home and we
traveled 8 hours to Mississippi to pick up my older daughter. Then we traveled 12 hours to Omaha, Nebraska to
spend a little over 48 hours with my family.
My mom looked great after getting her pacemaker and my dad was doing
pretty good while we were there, though he has good days and bad days. Then it was 12 hours back to Mississippi to
get the oldest back for work. We stayed
a few days and then 8 hours back to South Carolina. After one night at home I took my youngest
back to Charleston and spent a few days with her. Then it was home at last!
Yesterday
I was able to spend some time being creative with my stamping buddies and
worked on this card for the House Mouse and Friends challenge theme of “Congratulations”.
I
had a new Die Versions die I couldn’t wait to use, that was perfect for this.
The
image is an older stamp with these two cuties.
After coloring with Tombow Markers, it was added to the card front,
along with layers of red, pink, and polka-dot.
The
white cardstock base is only a single layer because the red behind the image is
folded to open up to whatever additional message you want.
Hope
you are have some fun with family and loved ones on this 4th of July.
