What a day. I took my daughter driving – she only has her permit. After 30 minutes we were both ready to go home. I decided to finish this card but could hardly work in my room because of my dog. It started to storm and he is so afraid of thunder that he planted himself under my feet. Every time I tried to move my chair I would run him over. If I walked anywhere to get something I almost tripped over him. Guess this verse could be for him.
I have seen some beautiful cards lately using vellum and it put me in the mood to play with some. I used the light blue striped vellum I just purchased and embossed it with a cuttlebug folder. Then I cut it out in the center and used the oval to emboss the verse in white. This verse comes from Our Daily Bread Designs As You Graduate Set. One of my favorite sets that I own. I layered it onto white vellum that was embossed with the same folder. I layered this on a piece of white cardstock the exact same size. This kept it looking very white when I layered it onto more blue striped vellum. All of this is adhered to a white card base.
This card just begged for a vellum embossed butterfly. I used an embossing folder, cut it out, and colored underneath with light blue marker. Simple but elegant.
