You Are My Sunshine

I do not personally own any of the Magnolia stamps but borrowed some images from my good friend, April.  This little girl is such a precious little image that can be used for so many different themes and cards.  I decided she was perfect smelling roses on a beautiful summer day.

I started with a white card base.  The next layer was green polka dot paper and I added three strips of light airy lace.  The next layer is bright pink decorative cardstock with stripes and dotted circles.  I added this with foam tape.

 For the main center I cut out a white oval and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder.  I sponged a little light blue ink on the top, green on the bottom, and added pink into the embossed flowers.  This is layered onto a green scalloped oval and I punched tiny holes in each scallop to give it a bit more lacy look.  I added the cute Magnolia image on top of this.  She is colored with Tombow markers, cut out, and attached with foam tape.

 For the final touches I added three roses on the bottom left and the top right.  With the roses on the bottom I added three different ribbon “stems” and “leaves”.  The sentiment is a cute saying from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  It is called My Sunshine and can be found here.  I stamped it in deep pink, cut it out with a label die, and sponged the edges with light blue to look like a cloud.
