God Richly Gives

Today is a gorgeous spring day and I am have a wonderful weekend at our favorite scrapbook store, Scrapbook Creations. God has blessed me with some very caring and loving friends and we have so much fun stamping together.

Today’s card is in honor of Our Daily Bread Designs’ 7^th Birthday/Anniversary. This is a stamp company dedicated to providing quality images, verses, and sentiments that you can use on your cards. They have some wonderful scripture stamps and their anniversary challenge is to use one of these on your card.

I created the background by stamping their Hydrangea image several times on light lilac cardstock. A variety of Shaded Lilac, Stormy Sky, and Shabby Shutter Distress Ink was applied to the stamp each time. These same inks were used on the edges of the different layers.

I stamped Hydrangea three more times and fussy cut one and applies additional ink, including some Dusty Concord, to bring out the image a bit more. Then I cut out sections of the other two and layered these on top. I popped this up in the corner of the card. My “Fluffy Branches” die from Die-namites just arrives so I used it on some periwinkle cardstock, cut it apart, and inked some of the edges with Dusty Concord ink. I tucked the pieces behind the Hydrangeai. I added some of the Distress Inks to white ribbon and used this for the bow.

The sentiment is from ODBD’s Scripture Series 2 set. Light grey cardstock was die cut with Spellbinders’Window Three D-Lites die and inked with Shabby Shutters for the sentiment. This was tucked behind the hydrangea and a few pearls added.
