My
name is Marie Berquist. I lived
throughout the Midwest most of my life until I married my husband and we moved to
South Carolina for his job. We have
been married 30 years and have two beautiful daughters. The oldest has her masters in viola
performance, performs in orchestras, and gives strings lessons. The youngest has a degree in Graphic Design
and loves animals. Both are extremely
creative.
I
have enjoyed various crafts most of my life and even worked at Michael’s Arts
and Crafts as the Class Coordinator and an instructor to help support my
habit. I am currently a kindergarten
aide at a magnet school for the arts. I
love to relax and stamp in my craft room or get together with my great stamping
buddies and create together.
I
was introduced to rubber stamping by one of my sisters over 25 years ago and
have been addicted ever since. I don’t think
I have a set style in my stamping. I like
to mix it up with lots of layers, embossing, flowers, and pearls. I love both cutesy and elegant, depending on
my mood.
I
have been a designer for Sparkle N Sprinkle since February of 2011 and have
also worked for them on their website and at Stamp Conventions. I also had the joy of being a guest designer
for Our Daily Bread Designs for July and August of 2011. Then in October 2014 I was thrilled to have
three of my cards published in the CardMaker Creative Color for Card Making
special issue.
Stamping
and card making is a way for me to relax and create. I enjoy expressing myself this way and also
sharing ideas with other, plus being able to give cards to others in a way that
really shows I care. My cards give me a
feeling of accomplishment and joy and I share them on my blog hoping they
provided inspiration to others.
Thank
you for taking the time to get to know me and visiting my blog.
