New Beginnings

I am so excited about this card because it gave me a chance to use a new image that I fell in love with the minute I saw it.  I am really attracted to images with butterflies or flowers, so when I saw this stamp with both, I had to have it.  I wanted to use it in a more glamorous card and decided to use a card technique I had found when I first started my blog.  The image is a newly introduced set called Butterfly Corner by Our Daily Bread Designs.  I stamped it on cream cardstock in rasberry ink, then cut out a portion of the image with a Spellbinder Nestability.  It is layered on a dark green scalloped oval nestie.  I stamped the image a 2nd time and cut out the butterfly, colored it with chalk, and popped it on top of the image on the card.  The background paper on the card is from K&Company.  I have actually had this pad of two-sided cardstock for quite awhile and was just waiting for the right card.  This was it!

The saying is also from Our Daily Bread from their Happy Birthday set.  I stamped this in dark green on cream and layered it on a pink lable from Cuttlebug.  I chose this saying because I thought this card would be perfect for someone's wedding, which is a great "new beginning" in someone's life.
