Wow has this been a fun few days - starting with this weekend. A friend of mine won a scrapping weekend at a scrapbook store. It started on Friday morning, but I had to work, so I arrived right after supper. We had a huge area we could set up in and could just leave our stuff at our table overnight. We worked on our projects until midnight, then we retired to a cute house next door for the night. We spent the whole weekend there, just working on projects, shopping, eating and threw in just a little bit of sleep. Here is a picture of the ladies that hung in there until the end on Sunday.
We had so much fun and learned to know each other better. We even shared projects by doing shoebox projects on Saturday afternoon.
This is my project. The image is Floral Abstract #11 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I stamped it with Brilliance ink onto the white square. This was layered on top of black, cut out with a Nellie Snellen die, then on top of a polka dot cardstock. I punched decorative borders for the top and bottom edges of the cardstock using a MS border punch, then layered it all on a white card base. I added a black butterfly, cut out with die HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly-Border Die Set from Heartfelt Creations. I brushed some of the brilliance ink on the edges of the butterfly wings to give it a little glimmer.
This was a fun, simple card that could be used for many different occasions. I entered it in the following challenges:
Sparkle N Sprinkle – The following sketch
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #146 – Out With The Old. I used an older rubber stamp that I had, along with some polka dot cardstock that I have had for quite awhile and never used.
Flutter By Wednesday's Challenge #136 - Open! Just remember your butterfly, fairy or angel!
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge 76 - Go Dotty
We came home on Sunday night and by midnight started to get snow. We had over 8” by my house, then a nice coating of ice. This is an awful lot of snow for our area and we are not equipped to clear the roads like some other places. School was cancelled on Monday and Tuesday, and now again for Wednesday. It is still so cold that nothing is melting and we are not going anywhere. My daughter has a ferret for a pet and when she went out to take some pictures yesterday, Sheila decided to follow her and play in the snow. Here is a video of Sheila’s reaction to the snow – not sure if she liked it or not. I don’t think she was sure either.

Oh, it was fun watching Sheila! I am sure she wasn't sure what had happened! It was a fun time this weekend for sure. Wish we could have done this longer! Your card is so pretty. I enjoyed making it.
Love it ... thanks for sharing.
I'm ready to go back! I think Sheila was looking for a warm spot to dig a hole! I know I have been...
