Love You Latte

Good morning.  I start my day with a hot cup of coffee or a latte and thought I might share one with you today.  The new Espresso Yourself stamp set comes with a variety of coffee related images and sentiments and this is what I used to create this card.

There are so many dies available and so many different ways to use them.  I pictured the background as a lacy tablecloth and used the center die from Sue Wilson Designs Beverly Hills die from the Californian Collection to create this look.  Using the Glitter Paper technique, I covered five die cuts with Versamark Ink and Silver Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set.  These were glued to a white layer, embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder.  This was layered on blue and then a white layer, edged with more Silver Pearl EP using the Distressed Embossing Powder technique.

The cup was created by Paper Piecing.  I stamped and heat embossed the image twice on decorative paper and once on white cardstock., using Americana Embossing Powder.  The first image was cut out with the cup and saucer, the second was the cup only, and the top part of the steam was cut from the image on the white cardstock.  The cup was popped up on top of the first image and the “foam” created with Dimensional Glue and Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft.  Waterscape Glitter was added to the steam using a Glue Pen and this was tucked under the “foam”.

The sentiment was heat embossed with Americana Embossing Powder on a cardstock strip.  A “V” was cut into one end and the edges inked with Distress Ink.  This was layered across the ribbon, tucked under the two color bow.

I hope you enjoyed your coffee this morning and are inspired for the day.

E. Marie
