New Year's Resolution

Boy was this a hard one.  Impression Obsession had a challenge titled "New Year's Resolution".  I have some of their stamps but nothing that I felt really represented this theme.  I did a lot of digging through my stamps and a lot of searching through their stamps on line to remind myself exactly what I had of theirs.  I finally came up with this card.  Thank goodness they allow you to use other stamps because I just didn't have a message from them that would work.  Then I found this saying from Hero Arts (F1843 - Time To Enjoy).  Impression Obsession has their own version of this same saying (D5512 - Take Time).  I stamped the message in maroon, then layered it on light pink and white (punched with Martha Stewart corner/border punches).

I used their stamp, L4046 Dance Party Collage, for the main image.  I stamped it in black and colored it with chalks.  I layered the top portion of the image under a Spellbinder frame cut out of dark blue cardstock and inked with Versamark to bring out the embossed design.  

I cut out the shoe with a rose from the bottom of the image and layered it on top of a pink medallion I made using the same MS corner punch.  This was attached with a popdot.

All of this was adhered to a green layer that I stamped with Versamark using IO's background stamp CC043 Roses.  I recently purchased a few of these background stamps and they are great.  I got together with several of my friends lately and played with them, trying to create some fun backgrounds using 2 - 3 different stamps and chalk inks.  Ok, back to the card.  The green cardstock is layered on pink, white, and the dark blue card base.  In case you don't get my resolution, I plan to try to take more time to enjoy all the wonderfull things in my life (even shopping for shoes)!!
