It
is Christmas In July at Sparkle N Sprinkle with all the new Christmas
sets. E. Marie here to share a card
using the new Christmas set, Milton Catching Snowflakes. This guy is adorable with his scarves and
comes with four great sentiments.
I
chose to create a “gap” card since I have seen so many great samples
lately. Most of these cards actually
leave an actual gap between the top and bottom front sections, held together by
an image or sentiment, but I chose to support this one with a piece of acetate.
After
adding decorative cardstock on the top and bottom layers, Dimensional Glue was
run around the edges and Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft was added to look like
snow.
The
image was heat embossed with Detail Black embossing powder and colored with Copic markers. Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter
was added to the scarves and snowflake using a glue pen. This was layered to the right side of the
card.
I
used the digital version of this set to print the sentiment and layered this on
the inside of the card so the sentiment would show in the open gap. Here
is a picture of the inside. I added
white layers on the inside top and bottom of the card front to make it look
neater and cover any exposed adhesive from adding the acetate.
I
know you will love playing with this card style and hope you enjoyed seeing
this cute set.
