June
is here and it is time for a new challenge at
This month our theme is 50's Flash
Back. How fun is that!!
We also have an optional sketch that you can
use.
Remember
that the challenge rules have also been changed so you no longer are required
to use a JFF stamp on your project to win the monthly gift certificate, but if
you do use a JFF stamp you will receive a 2nd entry in the drawing,
doubling your chance to win.
My
hubby is an antique car buff and was born in the 50’s so this is the perfect
theme for his upcoming birthday. I
started this card by stamping the background with JFF’s Circles Background. I colored in a few of the circles with red
and layered on black and red.
I
stamped and fussy cut three 45 RPM record images and arranged these on the
front. The Diner and '57 Chevy were
stamped in black and fussy cut. I added
a little splash of red and some grey shading to each and layered them on top of
the records.
The
sentiment, Good Times, was stamped in red Memento ink, layered on black, and
added across the top. Then I added the Fuzzy Dice, hanging them from the sentiment with some fiber.
My
hubby will really enjoy this card. Just
for your info, my hubby and I have the same birthday – wonder what he will make
me?
Don’t
forget to visit the JFF blog to get full details and rules for the challenge,
along with some great inspiration from my fellow designers.
