Nasturtiums

Are you like me and can never have enough flower images?  Have you seen the new Nasturtium #1 and Nasturtium #2 stamp sets from Sparkle N Sprinkle?  They are a must have with easy to color floral images and a variety of sentiments included.  Today’s card features the Nasturtium #1 digital image and stamped sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink in the center of a piece of white cardstock and heat embossed it with Sparkle Embossing Powder.  Then I stamped it a second time with Versamark Ink and added Merlot Velvet Glitter.  When I heat set it the 2nd time, the glitter settles into the embossing powder so it will stay in place when it cools.  This way the sentiment color will match the glitter I used throughout the card.  This piece of cardstock was edged with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and layered on the white card base.  Merlot Velvet Glitter was added to the exposed adhesive to create the look of another layer.

I die cut Tutti Designs’ Butterfly Oval from sticker paper.  I slowly removed various sections of the top protective layer to add Merlot,  Blue Jewel, Sunny Daze, and Pistachio glitters.  This sparkly oval die was layered around the sentiment.

I printed out the digital version of the Nasturtium flowers twice, colored with Copic Markers, and fussy cut.  To give them sparkle to go with the die cut, I covered each flower with Versamark Ink and Sparkle Embossing Powder.  I used a stencil tool lightly shape the flowers and adhered them over the smaller flowers on the die cut.

Thank you for visiting!

Wonderful card and a great idea to add the stamped blossoms to the die cut.
