For a chance to win one of these sets, leave comments  on the designers’ reveal posts.  On April 3 five winners will be selected from the comments left and each winner will receive a new stamp set, and the choice of one embossing powder and glitter to go with their new set.

Marie Berquist (that me!)

The winners of the blog hop will be announced on April 3 on Facebook, the SNS blog, and on our blogs

The new SNS Creative Challenges also begins today, with lots of prizes and recognition badges.  This month, if you use a Sparkle N Sprinkle image in your Challenge project, not only will you become a Featured Artist, but your name will be entered in a separate drawing for 3 Ultra Fine Glitters and/or Embossing Powders.

I used the new Flamingo Bay set for my card and used one of my favorite color combos, pink and black.

The image was stamped and heat embossed three times (twice with Black Detail embossing powder and once with the new Raspberry Tart embossing powder).  I used the Out Of The Box Nesties technique and a Spellbinders’ circle die to cut out the pink image and layered this on top of one of the black images that was cut into three rectangles.

The three flamingos were colored and fussy cut from the third embossed image and added on top of the pink embossed images.  Touches of the new Flashy Flamingo embossing powder were added to each using a glue pen.

To create the background for this image I added Flashy Flamingo embossing powder to a piece of white cardstock using the Creating Custom Glitter Paper technique.  This was added to a piece of black  cardstock, lined with "Tear-ificTape" and Black Ice glitter was added to the remaning exposed adhesive.  All was added to a white card base.

I had some lovely pink silk flowers with plastic centers.  I used brushable glue to add Diamond Dust glitter to the petals and then dipped the centers in glue and then in the Flashy Flamingo EP.  I did not heat set this as it would melt these centers (yes, I did try it).

This is such a lovely scene with these unique birds, and the two new embossing powders are perfect to use with it.  Check out what my fellow designers have created using this set or one of the other new sets.  Don’t forget to leave comments for a chance to win one of these sets.

Your card looks like a raspberry heaven, Marie. Striking colors and really fabulous technique. Love those flowers too. It's a good idea to use EP with glue and not to heat emboss.

Your card is so retro and in style today. Really catchy - not sure I like it, but I'd pick it up and think about it. Just not my style, but thanks for sharing. That's how we get ideas.
