Scrapy Land Challenge #25

Scrapy Land Blog has a new challenge today.  Challenge #25 is Anything Goes (using any brand of die Scrapy Land sells).  For my project I decided to create a layout, though I really do not scrapbook.  I tell myself that it is just a larger card with more room to play.

I created the look of water by heat embossing the wave flourish with white embossing powder on a square of watercolor paper and using Ultramarine Blue and Pthalo Green Color Bursts.  I die cut the Memory Box Oceana Corner several times from white cardstock and placed one in the upper left corner.  I cut the others apart and layered them across the “ocean”.  This is all added to dark blue and white cardstock, with the top and bottom punched with a border punch.

The photo is layered on blue and dark blue and Hit the Beach embossing powder was added around the edge.

To create the sand castle, Sparkling Sands flocking was added to adhesive on a piece of cardstock and the image was heat embossed on top of this.  I fussy cut it and added it to the layout front.

The dark blue base for the layout is intermittently stamped with a variety of shell images that are heat embossed with more Hit the Beach embossing powder.  Then bubble wrap was pressed into Versamark ink and “stamped” onto the background and heat embossed with Sparkle embossing powder.

I let the wet wipes I used to clean up after the color burst dry and adhered them to cardstock.  I used this to die cut the seaweed.

The oval sentiment was heat embossed with Dark Night embossing powder and die cut with Spellbinders’ Classic Oval dies.  This was used to create a shaker pocket filled with die cut shells, sand dollars, and starfish.

Don’t forget to visit the Scrapy Land Blog to see more inspiration from the other designers.  Then get creative to enter your creation for a chance to win.
