Dies and Daisies

Today I have a card that combines stamps and a die cut in a unique way.  The end result is a lovely floral fan for the card front.

I started with white cardstock covered with a Super Adhesive Sheet.  I removed the protective layer and covered it with Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter, buffing it in with my finger.  Using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, I stamped the floral image from the Daisies stamp set three times and colored with Copic Markers (see Stamping and Coloring on Glitter in the SNS Tips and Techniques).  I cut out one full image and then various flowers and leaves from the remaining two images.  I layered these on top of each other to create a dimensional bouquet.

I stamped the same floral image on the bottom third of my white card front with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Moss Star embossing powder.  I stamped the sentiment from the My Rose Garden stamp set in the bottom corner, using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with lovely Mulberry Star embossing powder.

I layered my dimensional bouquet on top of the embossed image, along with a fan, created with Cheery Lynn Designs’ English Tea Party Doily.  I die cut it from white cardstock and sponged the edges with Distress Ink.  Then I scored it, cut one score mark to the center, and fan folded.  I added loops of sheer ribbon, tucked into the bouquet.

To add some design and texture to the top of the card front, I adhered a die cut from the Sizzix Trellis Frameworks die.  All of this is added to pink and green layers on a white card base.

You can find detailed instructions for this card in the SNS gallery here.  This was a really fun card to make and can be used for so many different occasions.

Have a fantastic week.
