It
is never too soon to start those Christmas cards. Last month Sparkle N
Sprinkle released several sets with a Christmas/Winter theme. Today’s
card features the sweet little penguin from the Under The Mistletoe set.
x
I
stamped him with Memento ink and colored him with watercolor
pencils. After cutting him out, I added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft to the hat and
cuffs with Dimensional glue. Then I used a glue pen to add Waterfall glitter to the ice and Gypsy Red velvet glitter to the berries on the
mistletoe.

The
image was popped up with dimensionals on a background designed for the
theme of “circles”. The main background was embossed with an embossing
folder and layered on a blue piece of cardstock edged with 1/4″ Double Sided “Tear-ific” Tape. The
remaining exposed adhesive was covered with Waterfall glitter. Then Waterscape glitter was added to the raised little
circles, using a glue pen. The “igloo” is die cut with
Spellbinders’ circle die and the bottom trimmed off. After running
through an embossing folder, the edges were inked, brushed with Dimensional glue, and covered with Diamond Dust. A little Diamond Dust was also added to the top edge of
several of the embossed squares.

All
of this was added to the white card base and the sentiment from the Winter Swirl set was stamped with Distress ink.
Have
a great week,
E. Marie

Wow Marie your card is stunning x
Fabulous choices on this card. The ice under this little penguin is colored wonderfully...gives a great impression of cold. And then the embossed background...well, it looks like ice bricks to me! I think this is fabulous. Thanks for joining us at Crafty Sentiments this week. I hope you'll enter more of our upcoming challenges. Your art work is lovely. Hugs, Gail

Love your card and that little penguin is so sweet! I have a big smile on my face having seen him! What a brilliant idea for the igloo as well - genius. Love the tact that you have given the mistletoe red berries instead of white, they really stand out now.
Thank you so much for entering the Crafty Calendar Challenge this month, lots of luck to you.
