Sparkle N Sprinkle Ghosts & Goblins Fall Frolic Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Ghosts & Goblins Fall Frolic Blog Hop!  The weather here has cooled off nicely and one of my students even brought me a lovely red leaf this week, so Fall is definitely around the corner.  A perfect time for a blog hop full of Ghosts and Goblins and everything Fall.  I am your first stop along the way so let’s kick things off!!

If you just happened to stop by, you will want to head over to the SparkleN Sprinkle Blog to get all of the details.  You have the chance to win any of FIVE great prizes.  All you need to do is visit each of the designers’ blogs and leave a comment.  The hop runs from Thursday, Sept. 20 – Friday, Sept. 21.  Winners will be announced on Saturday, July 22nd.

Here is the line-up for the hop:

Marie Berquist (That’s Me!!)

Now that we have all of that out of the way, let’s get to what you really want to see!!  I have two cards to share with you.

My first card is fairly simple, using the adorable Kitty Witch, along with the Fall Is In The Air sentiment.  I used a premade black card front with the little bats already punched out, but it could be easily made from a piece of black cardstock and any punch.  I added a piece of "Tear-ific" Tape behind the opening and added Starfire Glitter.  Then I used an embossing folder to add the tree and heat embossed the image in white.  Sponging the tree and around the edges with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink made the background look lighter, reminding me of a foggy, spooky night.  I embossed the sentiment with Indian Corn EP (isn’t that a great name) and added it with some wrapped fiber that reminded me of a spider web.  You can find full instructions on this card here.

I love tags, but don’t seem to make them very often.  My second card features one created with drywall tape and washi tape.  This is a technique I have had on the back burner for a while, but was reminded of it when I saw it on another blog.  Check out this technique in Tips and Techniques at the SNS website.

I used Eve’s Sunflower and some of the leaves from the Fall Leaves Stampette Set, coloring them with stains, fussy cutting, and shaping them with a stylus.

I trimmed off some of the petals from one of the sunflowers and layered them to add dimension, along with some Autumn Fire Glitter Tinsel and Sparkling Coffee Sparkle N Soft.  The sentiment is Second Spring.  For final touches I added a bow and die cut flourishes.  You can see full details of this card here.

Now it is time to head over to Karalee’s blog to see what she has waiting for you.  I know you will love it.  Don’t forget to leave a comment before you leave so you have a chance at a prize.

Just a reminder that through the end of the month Halloween, Thanksgiving & Fall images are on special at 15% off.  To view all our specials, which also include a few glitters, embossing powders and flocking - just click here.

Also, you still have until September 30th to enter the September Sketch Challenge.  Check out the details and sketch here.

Thank you so much for hopping by and I hope you really enjoy what all the designers have to share with you.
