The Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge also
begins today.
Find out how you
can become a SNS Featured Artist with special recognition on the SNS Facebook
page as well as the Creative Challenge Winner's post. From time to time,
we also have special prizes just for Featured Artists.
The theme is
always Anything Goes using Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder, and/or
Flock.
I
have a real preference for more spiritual cards at Christmas time so I was
excited to use the new 3 Wise Men set. I
used the digital set and, after printing, colored it with Copic markers and
cut it out. Using a glue pen, I added Blue Haze Velvet glitter to the Wise Man on
the left, Daisy Velvet glitter to the one in the
middle, and Fairytale Lavender glitter to the one on the right. I also added Aztec Gold glitter to each of the
gifts.
They
were layered on a darker purple layer that was embossed with an embossing
folder and added to a slightly lighter layer.
Both were die cut with Spellbinders’ Radiant
Rectangles. I ran a
little Dimensional Glue around the edge of the
first layer and added more Fairytale Lavender glitter. All of this was added to a piece of sticker paper and Bridal glitter was added to the remaining
exposed adhesive. I love the rich look
of this glitter. After another purple
layer, all was added to a white card base.
The
sentiment was die cut with a Spellbinders’ Back to Basics Tags die and sponged
with Memento ink before removing from the die.
Using the Bling Your Brads technique, I added Yellow Spark embossing powder to two
star brads, along with the fussy cut star image. After adding the brads to both sides of the
sentiment, it was popped up at the bottom of the image and the star was popped
up at the top.
