Jelly Beans and Coffee?

This is a sneak peak of an upcoming challenge but I made a few fun adjustments to this card for the 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I used Love U Bunnies, Smell Jelly Beans?, and Jelly Bean stamps from Just ForFun.  Then I adjusted the sentiment using parts of Coffee Shared and added some coffee beans using Single Coffee Bean, also from JFF.

This is my final entry for the blog hop.  Check back tomorrow for Just For Fun’s April Challenge.

The Best Things In Life

I am back with another card for the 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Today's card uses the Floral Tea Cup image from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  It is so pretty with all the different flowers and I found this great background paper to go with it.  It has lot of flowers and coffee pots and coffee cups.

I used my Zig markers to color it and die cut it with a Spellbinders’ circle die.  It was layered on a green scalloped circle die cut and a slightly larger pink die cut circle.  The same color layers were used behind the background paper.  This really brought out the colors in the image.  The sentiment is the new Best Things In Life from JFF which is perfect for this card.  What is better than fancy coffee cups and sweet smelling flowers.

Have a great end of the week!

Coffee, Coffee, and More Coffee

This week is the 2017 Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Being a coffee lover, I can’t resist participating so here is my second card.

I would love to tell you what image this is, but it is an unmounted stamp that I bought used, just because I loved the design of the cups.  It was stamped with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on pink striped cardstock.  The same ink was sponged on the edges and this was layered on brown, mint polka dot, and more brown.

The sentiment is What's Brewing from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  This was stamped with Distress Ink on the lovely floral background paper.

Relax and have a cup!

Sharing A Cup, Or Two, Or Three

Good morning!  How about a cup of coffee, or two, or three?  That is what I am sharing with you today.

The Stamptangle Stacked Tea Cups, from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, were stamped in black with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.  I used the colors from one of my favorite coffee cups.  This image was fussy cut, leaving a narrow edge of white to help it show better on the blue background layer.

The JFF sentiment, Coffee Shared, was stamped on yellow cardstock with Distress Ink.  There is nothing more special than sharing time and coffee with a friend.

The background layers of orange and blue decorative cardstock coordinate with the colors used on the coffee cups.  Their designs made me think of bubbles and waves and a chilly beach in spring.  I just spent some time there with my daughter.  The flower embellishment was fussy cut from the design on the back side of the blue cs.

It is also time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  This is my first entry this week.

Enjoy your week.

Soda Shop Sweets

Have you seen all the sweet treat images recently released by Just For Fun Rubber Stamps?  They remind me of the goodies my grandfather used to buy me at the old soda shop in our little town, so I decided to create a card with that theme.

The card is a Twist Gate Fold Card.  My friend, April Williams, shared this with me recently and you can find a tutorial here.  I used three coordinating cardstocks to layer on the different sections, sponging all the edges with pink or grey ink.  Sheer mint ribbon was used to tie it shut.

JFF's Hot Fudge Sundae is layered on the front.  It was colored with markers and then layered on mint and black cs.

When opened, their Root Beer Float and Vanilla Shake are revealed.  These were also colored with markers and layered on mint and black and The Best Things in Life sentiment was added.

This was a fun card to make with these cute images.  Check out all their new images here.

Just For Fun March Challenge

It is the beginning of a new month and with the arrival of March there is a new challenge on the Just For Fun Blog.  The theme for March is “Birthday”.

Just for Fun’s Birthday Background was used to create this card.  Three different colors of Memento ink were added directly to the stamp and the background was stamped two times.  One was layered on purple and added to the card front.

The second layer was cut into strips and three strips were cut into candle flames on one end.  After adding additional ink to the flames, these were layered on purple and popped up on top of the first background.

Here is a quick hint – I actually used white cardstock for all the layers.  I simply added ink to the edges for the purple layers.  This is a great way to have perfect color coordinating layers.

We always need birthday cards so this is an easy challenge to enter.  Head over to the JFF blog for the challenge details and more inspiration from my fellow designers.
